How it's used
While this character appears in formal written Chinese to mean dangerous or exhausted, it is rarely used in modern spoken Cantonese. Most speakers prefer using 危險 or 牙煙 to describe dangerous situations. Using 殆 in casual conversation will sound overly literary or archaic to most Hong Kongers.
