Agreement to terms

By downloading, installing, or using YumCha ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

Description of service

YumCha is a mobile application designed to help users learn Cantonese through interactive lessons, vocabulary practice, and spaced repetition. The App offers both free and premium features.

User accounts

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings screen in the App. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated systems to access the App

Intellectual property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by YumCha and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The learning content, including vocabulary, phrases, and lesson materials, is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.

Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.

We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy or completeness of the language learning content. The App is intended as a learning aid and should not be relied upon as the sole source of language instruction.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YumCha shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App.

Changes to service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
