How it's used
Emphasizes a continuous state or action that has remained unchanged from a past point up to the present. It is frequently paired with 都 to add emphasis to the consistency of the situation. Unlike the Mandarin equivalent, it is rarely used to describe physical movement along a path in modern colloquial speech.
Examples
He has lived here all along and has never moved house.

Common mistake
Avoid using it to mean 'on the way' or 'while traveling' as in Mandarin, where it can mean 'along the road'. In Cantonese, use 喺路上面 or 途中 instead for physical location.
