colloquialdaily actions
How it's used
While 見 can mean to see, it is frequently used as a resultative complement in the form 見到 to indicate that the act of seeing was successful. Without the complement, 見 often implies a more formal or intentional meeting, such as 見客 or 見工. In casual speech, 睇到 is much more common for general visual perception.
Examples
Did you see him just now?

Common mistake
Learners often use 見 alone when they mean to express that they successfully spotted something. Always add 到 to indicate the completion of the action, otherwise the sentence may sound like you are arranging a formal meeting.
