How it's used
Modern usage is almost exclusively restricted to formal written greetings or traditional Chinese wedding blessings. The physical action of performing a curtsy is rarely seen outside of period dramas or traditional stage performances. Using it in casual conversation will sound extremely archaic or theatrical.
Examples
Wishing you all happiness and good health.

Common mistake
Do not confuse this with the common greeting 萬事如意, which is used for general well wishes. 萬福 carries a much more formal and slightly old fashioned tone that is not suitable for everyday casual greetings.
