While 怎樣 is technically correct in written Chinese, it is rarely used in spoken Cantonese. Speakers almost exclusively use 點 or 點樣 to express 'how' or 'why'. Using 怎樣 in casual conversation can make you sound like you are reading from a textbook or speaking a formal script.
