Complete counting from six to ten
Now you complete the set, learning 六 (luk6) up to 十 (sap6). With these five added to the first lesson you can count all the way to ten, which is enough for prices, quantities, and phone numbers. Each word comes with audio so the trickier tones, like 八 (baat3), settle quickly.
Great progress! Let's continue with numbers 6 to 10. After this lesson, you'll be able to count to ten in Cantonese!

They are 六 (luk6) for six, 七 (cat1) for seven, 八 (baat3) for eight, 九 (gau2) for nine, and 十 (sap6) for ten.
Ten is 十 (sap6). It is also the base for numbers like eleven and twenty, so it is a useful one to lock in early.
Eight is 八 (baat3). Playing the audio and saying it back a few times is the easiest way to get the tone right, and this Cantonese app lets you replay each word as often as you like.
