How it's used
This term is strictly a historical label for a specific social class under the Yuan dynasty, comprising people from Central and Western Asia. It is never used to describe modern ethnic groups or foreigners in contemporary Hong Kong. Using it outside of a historical or academic context would be confusing and highly anachronistic.
Examples
History books have mentioned the term Semu.
