How it's used
Often used with the suffix 計 to form 傾計, which is the most common way to refer to casual chatting. While it can mean serious discussion, adding the aspect marker 下 softens the tone to imply a relaxed or informal conversation. It is rarely used on its own in formal writing, where 討論 is preferred.
Examples

Common mistake
Avoid using it to mean 'to tell' or 'to inform' someone of something. If you want to say 'tell me', use 同我講 instead of 同我傾.
