Definition
Anybody; anyone; any person.

How it's used
While 任何人 is the direct translation of anyone, it is often used in formal or written contexts. In everyday spoken Cantonese, people frequently prefer using 邊個 or 邊位 to express the same idea, especially when asking questions. Using 任何人 in casual conversation can sometimes sound slightly stiff or overly emphatic.
Examples
Has anybody here seen him?
Anyone can sign up for the competition.

Common mistake
Learners often use 任何人 in negative sentences where it sounds unnatural. In Cantonese, it is much more common to use 冇人 to mean nobody or not anyone, rather than combining a negative verb with 任何人.
